A Different Kind Of Institution

We are building the institute to find out before those ideas become infrastructure.

Many of the hardest problems in economics, statistics, medicine, social science and AI may point to the same missing theory.

No existing discipline is set up to investigate that possibility.

It requires questioning assumptions that sit beneath the disciplines themselves.

That is difficult work to do inside institutions organized around defending and extending established fields.

So we are building a different kind of institution.
